Three Ways to Build
Financial Confidence
Each programme addresses a specific, practical aspect of personal finance — from reading your monthly statement to mapping out what financial sufficiency looks like for you.
Back to HomeOur Teaching Approach
All three programmes follow the same foundational methodology: real examples, a safe space for questions, and practical tools that participants take home. The content is Thailand-specific, the pace is set by the group, and there is no pressure to absorb everything in one sitting.
Explain First
Concepts are introduced plainly before any jargon is introduced — and any technical terms are explained when they appear.
Practice Together
Exercises use real Thai financial documents. Participants work through them with facilitator guidance, not alone at home.
Take It Home
All materials, calculators, and reference guides are provided. What you learn, you can apply immediately and refer back to anytime.
Bank Statement Reading
A half-day practical session that takes you through the anatomy of a Thai bank statement from beginning to end. By the close of the session, you'll be able to read and reconcile your own statements with clarity — identifying fees, categorising transactions, and spotting anything that doesn't look right.
This course is particularly useful for anyone who currently receives their monthly statements, glances at the total, and puts it away without fully understanding what's inside.
What You'll Cover
- Understanding the structure of Thai bank statements across major banks
- Identifying and categorising each type of transaction and fee
- Reconciling statement balances against your own records
- Spotting unusual charges and knowing how to raise a query with your bank
- Hands-on practice with sample statements throughout
Session Steps
This Programme is For You If...
- You receive bank statements but don't fully understand them
- You want to check whether you're being charged correctly
- You'd like a clearer picture of your monthly spending
- You prefer learning with guidance rather than reading alone
This Programme is For You If...
- You've heard about voluntary pension contributions but aren't sure how they work
- You want to understand the difference between NSF, SSF, and private options
- You'd like to make decisions about pension contributions more deliberately
- You have 10–20 years before you expect to draw on savings
Voluntary Pension Contribution Planning
A three-session programme spread over two weeks, covering the full landscape of voluntary pension contribution options available to individuals in Thailand. This includes the National Savings Fund, voluntary SSF contributions, and private pension products from Thai financial institutions.
Rather than recommending any particular product, this programme equips you with the knowledge to evaluate options yourself — using calculator tools and comparison frameworks provided during the sessions.
What You'll Cover
- How Thailand's National Savings Fund works and who can contribute
- Voluntary Social Security Fund contributions and their tax implications
- Private pension product categories and how to evaluate them
- Using the included contribution calculator tools with your own numbers
- A personalised contribution planning worksheet to take home
Programme Structure
Financial Independence Timeline
A comprehensive six-session programme over one month, designed for people who want to move beyond vague financial intentions and work toward a personal definition of financial sufficiency. This programme does not use a generic benchmark — your target is built around your own life, expenses, and goals.
Sessions are spaced throughout the month to allow time between each one for reflection, data gathering, and applying the previous session's exercises to your own situation.
What You'll Cover
- Defining your personal sufficiency target in concrete, monthly terms
- Gap analysis: where you are versus where your target is
- Strategies for narrowing the gap, appropriate to your situation
- Setting meaningful milestones and a timeline that makes sense
- A personal milestone tracking system you can maintain independently
- Integration with pension and saving options from the Thai landscape
Programme Structure
This Programme is For You If...
- You want to think seriously about financial sufficiency for your future
- You feel you should be doing something, but aren't sure what
- You'd like a structured, supported process rather than a solo exercise
- You're in your 40s or 50s and want to take stock with clarity
